This article was written while I was staying in Sheering and there seems to be many more birds than I see in my garden in Sawbo each day. I see several Green Wood Peckers on the lawn along with a few Song Thrushes and plenty of Greenfinches and Chaffinches with their young ones on the feeders.
As at home the Blackbirds are waiting for me to feed them each morning and evening I also get lots of visits from Great Spotted Woodies on the peanuts just outside the back windows.
I am seeing lots more Butterflies here and because of a large pond in the wildlife garden there are Damsel Flies and I hope soon to see Dragonflies as the weather is warming up.
I miss my Hedgehogs and foxes at home but have someone who goes in each day to put out food for them.
So it’s back to my dog sitting.
