Nature’s Corner
Hello Folks,
It’s now time to start getting the old winter wollies out, as the cold and chilly weather will be soon upon us.
I’m so pleased as there are now plenty of birds coming into my feeders, the good news is that the Sparrows are coming in big numbers, as always there are lots of Goldies, plenty of Blue and Great Tits, Starlings, crowds of Collard Doves, a Coal Tit or two, our Robin, but as yet no Blackbirds.
I’ve noticed lately, at least once a day there is a great flurry on and around the feeders. As many as four dozen small birds come to feed and it’s just outside the kitchen window. We get some breath taking views.
It’s getting too late now for Butterflies and sadly the years count has been poor in my garden for when I sent in the count at the end of this month. Also we have not seen any Hedgehogs for a couple of weeks, although we are still putting out food for them, and the Hedgehog house is empty as well, but I’m still hoping.
More soon… Pee Jay
